Mellokit free tools that never upload your files

Split PDF without uploading

Extract the pages you need or save every page as its own file, right in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, the pages you leave out aren't hidden in the new file, and it works offline.

How it works

The PDF is opened inside your browser with pdf-lib, and the pages you choose are copied into a new file. Pages aren't rendered again, so text stays selectable and images aren't recompressed. Your original file isn't changed.

Left-out pages stay out. Inside a PDF, pages are often connected: a link, a form field, a comment or a shared list of images can drag other pages into a copy, invisibly. If you share one page of a contract, the rest shouldn't travel with it. Mellokit cuts those connections first, and keeps only what the chosen pages need. Fonts can be shared across a document, so a shared font may stay, but the text and images of the left-out pages don't.

Made for sharing only what's needed

One part of a contract

Send a single signed page or one section without passing on the whole document.

Statements and records

Pull the one page someone asks for out of a long bank statement, report or medical record.

Coursework and books

Take the chapter or the pages you need from a large PDF.

Scans of several documents

Scanned a stack in one go? Split it back into separate files. To put files together again, use Merge PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. Mellokit never uploads your PDFs. They are read and split inside your browser on your own phone or computer, and the result is saved straight back to your device. No server ever receives your files.

How do I extract pages from a PDF?

Choose your PDF, leave Pick pages selected and type the pages you want, such as 1-3, 7, 10-. Press the button and download the new PDF. The pages come out in the order you typed them, and your original file isn't changed.

How do I split a PDF into separate files?

Choose Split into files and set how many pages go in each file. With 1, every page becomes its own PDF. You download them together in one ZIP.

Are the pages I leave out really gone from the new file?

Yes. Copying a page can quietly bring other pages along, through links, form fields, comments or a list of images shared by the whole document, even though you can't see them. Mellokit cuts those connections, so the text and images of the pages you leave out aren't in the new file.

Does splitting lower the quality?

No. Pages are copied as they are, not rendered again, so images aren't recompressed and text stays sharp and selectable.

Are bookmarks, links and form fields kept?

Links to websites keep working, and so do links to pages that are in the same new file. Links to pages you left out are removed. Bookmarks and comment pop-ups aren't kept. Form fields can no longer be edited, and a filled-in value can disappear if the form didn't save how it looks, so check forms after splitting. The app tells you when a file has bookmarks or form fields.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

No. A PDF with a password, including one that only restricts printing or copying, can't be opened here. Remove the password first, then add the file again.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After your first visit the app is stored in your browser, so you can open it and split PDFs without an internet connection. You can also install it like an app.

How large a PDF can I split?

Up to 500 MB. Because everything runs on your device, large files need enough free memory, and a phone may run out sooner than a computer.

Is it free? Is there a watermark?

It is free, with no watermark, no account and no daily limit.
